LOS ANGELES – Feb. 3rd, 2025 Leading XR/AI virtual production (VP) company ARwall announced today the release of Infinite Studio, an extension of ARwall’s award-winning ARFX App. Infinite Studio employs a proprietary generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) method to create photorealistic video backgrounds via a chat agent which transforms creators’ text-to-video prompts into 2D and 3D video environments. Infinite Studio is the latest addition to ARwall’s award-winning ARFX suite, and its impact was recognized early on as NAB’s 2024 AI/ML Product of the Year.
ARwall Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer Jocelyn Hsu believes Infinite Studio is a game changer. “From Day 1 we’ve been committed to driving the evolution of the virtual production tools ecosystem,” Hsu noted. “Infinite Studio brings the exciting new field of GenAI to virtual production, making the whole process of VP easier to use without taking the human creative element away from filmmaking and storytelling. Hsu praised her development team for their inventive approach to an ease-of-use directive. By building Infinite Studio into the ARFX App for Windows--ARwall’s most user-friendly software-- chaining GenAI models, and employing a chat agent with simple user interface, the group ensured that anyone can create video backdrops auto-processed to shoot in VP without knowing code. Hsu called out ARwall CTO Leon Hui, Senior Software Engineer Danny Vargas and their stellar crew, developer Rene Turcios and software engineer Dinh Le, for their contributions.
The genesis of ARFX Infinite Studio came from ARwall’s CEO Rene Amador, who in tracking the industry anticipated that the burgeoning VP industry would require more democratized tools and faster workflow speed. He challenged the product team to shorten the delay between concept and shooting.
“When we invented and patented in-camera XR filmmaking, we had no idea the impact it would have,” elaborated CTO Leon Hui. “It turned out to be a revolution because traditional filmmaking was ripe for reinvigoration. Furthering that, AI-generated video will likely become an integral part of creating video entertainment within 10 years, combined with increased demand for human performance and storytelling in motion pictures. To remain commercially viable, tools will need to be closely comparable in efficiency to what's technologically possible with GenAI video. And that’s what we’ve built.”
