ARwall’s Glowcraft to Produce Satirical Propaganda-themed Animated Series “Kitten Kaboodle”

Virtual Production (VP) technology  company ARwall announces “Kitten Kaboodle,” a 30-minute animated series with adult political themes and a satirical dark tone

LOS ANGELES – January 22, 2024        ARwall, the leader in XR filmmaking and virtual production (VP) technology development and creator of the two-time NAB Show Product of the Year winner ARFX Infinite Studio, announced today the production of “Kitten Kaboodle,” a comedic animated series to be brought to screens worldwide through ARwall’s development and production arm, Glowcraft. The series will feature cutting-edge proprietary animation techniques developed by ARwall for virtual production for animation, with the programming team and design team working in a unique integrated collaboration.

Kitten Kaboodle tells the story of Mew, a propagandist at the Ministry of Lawlz, and follows his amazing adventures in a dystopian world that's run by evil kittens, and features run-ins with a cast of familiar pop culture icons. ARwall’s Rene Amador & Jocelyn Hsu, as well as writer Eric Navarrette, are the creators . The pilot was originally developed in their writing collective NEWMYTHIC. Rene Amador & Jocelyn Hsu will serve as executive producers.

Rene Amador, creative director of "Kitten Kaboodle," expressed excitement about the series: “There's nothing quite as interesting as watching someone face all the obstacles and risks in pursuit of a very distant dream. However, it's more interesting when the lead character is a cute, talking kitten living with other sentient kittens in a futuristic cruel universe that’s somehow very familiar."

The show is set in a dystopian world with a dramatic, cartoonish palette striking diverse tones, touching on contemporary genres and themes. “I think what TV needs right now are characters that are going to give voice to a lot of the anxieties we feel about mass media, surveillance, AI, our government, and our business leaders,” Amador elaborated, addressing the project’s mission. “In the past 8 years, we've lost many of those voices, now we need them back and we hope this show is so stupendously commercial  that it tricks the monied powers into getting these voices back on air."
